Can you help a rookie with gps?

This might be a stupid question but is it worth buying the Mapsource software from Garmin. It seems to good to be true, I was just wondering if anyone had some feedback. The main reason I'm asking is the price on the ac/pc adapter is $63 from Garmin so I'll check testimonials about the software first.
    Thanks alot guys & gals

I've got a Garmin GPS/fishfinder combo loaded with Fishing HotSpots. I's one of the best fishing tools I've ever used. I'm not familiar with the product you mentioned, but Garmin offers a great product with great customer service.

Thanks Shadlips, what you have must be the same b/c it downloads the Mapsource Hot Spots maps(over 90 lakes in the east). Does your gps show the channel and depth contours for Guntersville?

It shows everything you need for safe navigation ... and almost everything you need for good fishing. A few places will be off a little on the contours, but it has helped me put more fish in the boat than any other new tool I've used in the past 20 years. It's the best thing since they invented sliced bread!!
