When you say "swiming the power worm", are you pulling(or lifting up on your rod" and pausing, reeling in the line, then lifting up on the rod again, or are you actually just reeling it in slow, thanks for the help

Yesterday morning (4-19) I couldn't get a quality bite. For that matter, I only got 4 bites and 4 bass between 14-16", all on a 5" Yum Dinger.
This morning I got 8 bites but only landed 3 bass. One was 16", one was about 3 pounds, and one was a spawned out female that weighed 5 lb 11 oz. I switched to a 10" Power Worm swimming it along the weed edges in 4-8 feet of water. I tried topwater early ... but no takers. Pros were running around everywhere ... I'm not sure if they were catching 'em or still searching. I loaded up the boat at 10:00 AM and went home.

The first method you mentioned ... keeping the bait in contact with the tops of the weeds.
