    Bass Tracker Blues

I have a 2001, 16.5 Ft. Bass Tracker & the welds on the bottom are cracking, it is cracking between the rivets. I tried to get the warranty to cover it and the Tracker reps. said "there is impact damage, and they wouldn't cover it." There is only some scuffs, & one small dent. The dent isn't even aroud the crack in the weld. I feel like the way I have been treated, I will never buy Tracker again, & will discourage all that I know, or see looking at one away from it. I just needed to vent for a moment. Thanks to all who read this.

That stinks. I have an Pro Team 185 and have more than a few dents in the thing from fishing the river. I don't worry about it, that's why I bought aluminum, but mine doesn't leak either, yet. Good luck, I would contact their headquarters and complain if you haven't already. Good luck.

I will never buy another tracker again also. I just bought a brand new Tracker Pro Guide V16. When i got it home i noticed that the sides were buckled where it was welded which i felt was a defect in workmanship and which the boat they had on the showroom floor did not have. Now mind you this boat is brand new, i had it less than a week, never been in water, not even registered yet. They told me the Tracker rep said this is normal and there was nothing they could do. Well it is not normal and it is sad that this is the quality of product they dump on the consumer.I told the service manager if it was normal give me the boat in the showroom and put mine in its place. of course that wasnt possible.

I should also add, on this brand new boat the trolling motor was defected. so much for quality control.

WWW.BBB.COM..........Just because they are one of the big boys in the game doesn't mean we have to take a beating .I know it seems like David vs. Goliath and I don't know if anything can be done but it's worth letting it be heard .Seems that usually when someone says "there's nothing that can be done " it means there is nothing that they are willing to do .Just my thoughts .

As much as you don't want to hear it, but if you are talking about a ripple in the metal where the weld is on the inside, this is normal. Most aluminum boats will get this. I believe it is as a result of the heat generated during the welding process. I have a G3 and I have those same ripples. It doesn't effect anything.

I hope you can get some satisfaction from Tracker or your dealer on your problem.

    I have a 2002 Tracker TX-17 Riveted boat
so far its an excellent boat no leaks and can take a beating
just thought I would put out a positive view on Tracker.
    I would definitely buy again.

    just my thoughts

    RE: Bass Tracker Blues

I had a friend who got stuck with a lemon of a car (new). After the dealer blew him off, and the factory told him to take it back to the dealer, he painted a big yellow lemon on the side windows of the car with the dealers name and and a big "This car is junk. Do not buy from" sign. He took pictures and sent them to the dealer and the factory. THEY called him! Got his car fixed. Just a thought.
