Try this link to the ODNR Wildlife page. It has lake maps and fishing info. for the area you are asking about...

    RE: Mid-East Ohio Area

hey, former hocking college student here, class of 2004. There are several great places to fish around there, especially for numbers of bass, but not so much quality. The hocking river is really good for smallmouth, just as long as your north of the nelsonville sewage discharge. Strouds run dam area is really good, try throwing a fluke this spring and you can catch all the 10 - 12 inch bass you want. If you want some bigger bass try lake snowden. In the early spring its best to walk to the **** and fish a crankbait or a spinnerbait ripping it out of the grass. Caught some real monsters doing this. later the the year go around to the ramp side of the lake and cast buzzbaits on the edge of the grass line. As far as lake hope goes, never really fished to lake too much, but caught alot of really nice bass right below the spillway on crappie grubs, bout the only way to get those bass down there. whites mill is really good for crappie and some white bass. there is a creek in logan that runs into the hocking that is really good for crappie and smallies. fish right below the fall, and you'll have blast. If you know where utah pond is a fluke is deadly there, and when the bass are spawning you can see some really big ones, but good luck with those, they were the hardest bass i've ever tried to catch. it can be really frustating but if you stick with it, you'll catch a couple.
But as always release a few cause i might be back to catch some myself
