RE: District 87 American Bass Anglers 2005 season (ABA)

I just signed up for the ABA and was wondering how to get a copy of the rules/regs. I take it all of these are day tournaments? Looks like fun at times I can go. Friday night tournys are too hard to get to when you work as much as I do.
Any other general info would be great. Like whats the average turnout. etc....

    thks

Last year was the first year for the 87 District on average we probably had 10-15 anglers per tourney, we are hoping to grow alot for next year, im sure all the guys will be glad to have you. If you have any other questions i would email george salov the director and you can get his email from the website just click on find a tourney then the CKY area and it will link you to our division and all the info you need. Ask away on any other questions you have and i will answer them.

Yea they will send you all the info once they get your registration, they run a pretty tight ship as far as quickly returning your paperwork, they also send you a conformation for every tourney you enter, i like the ABA better than i do BASS right now for me just simply because they dont send you tons and tons of useless crap in the mail. All the rules and regs are just like all other tourneys, there national points system is pretty sweet though, it gives us KY boys a chance to compete with the guys that fish TOHO and G-ville every time.

Myself and three or four other guys fished this trail this year for scholarship money, we are all in college 20-22 yrs old. We were the youngest in this division.

RE: District 87 American Bass Anglers 2005 season (ABA)

If anyone has any question please e-mail me @ george@webcats.net

All tournaments are day time and approx. 8 hours. All start at safe light. I will be at the ramp 2 hours prior to safe light.

The tournament in November at Barren is being held in conjuction with the Central Kentucky ABA district. Our tournament is on Sat. and I'm asking that all stay over to fish their tournament on Sunday. This is not a requirement, but one way that we can get two tournaments in, in one weekend.

If you have any questions that the ABA website did not answer, you may also feel free to call me @ 859-333-8005.

We are looking at growing this division this year and for many years to come. The ABA is the largest tournament trail for the weekend angler. There are over 100 district with over 880 tournaments every year. It is one of the only trails that you can fish a National in the same year that you qualify. All that fish 4 one day and 1 two day tournaments are qualified for the nationals. Anyone who finishes in the top 500 are guarnteed to be invided.
All tournaments with the exception of the nationals are bring a boat use a boat. It is a draw format, but you are allowed to fish alone.
Hope to see you on the water or at the ramp.

I'm on the way to the Nationals at Wheeler Lake tonight.
When I return I will have the national flyers and will be getting them out to a local sporting goods store near you. If you would like one and can not find any, please let me know.
For those that have stores that would like to have some, let me know.
Looking forward to the 2005 season and next years nationals.
