    2005 Southern Kentucky Marine Circuit

    We fished this circuit this year and was very impressed by the way it was run and the payout. With Renegade going to Ky/Barkley for 3 out of seven next year, this might be an alternative if you don't like the cost of hotel rooms. Although you can fish both since they do not conflict with each other. They also draw to give a boat away at the classic. They guarantee $1000 for first and pay $500 for second thru seventh place. Also $300 for big bass plus $200 for second big bass. This is all based on a 50 boat turnout. They will pay Triton bonus money based on a 60 boat field. All in all a lot like Renegade used to be. Here's the dates;
    DATE LAKE TIME
March 6 Barren- State 6 am to 3pm
April 3 Nolin - Wax 6 am to 3 pm
May 15 Rough - State 5:30 am to 2:30 pm
June 12 Barren- State 5 am to 2 pm
July 24 Nolin - Wax 5 am to 2 pm
    August 21 Rough - State 5:30 to 2:30 pm
Sept 18 Barren- State 6 am to 2 pm
Oct 16 Nolin - Wax 6:30 am to 3:30 pm
    Classic
Nov 5 Nolin - Wax 6:30 am to 3:30 pm
Nov 6 Barren- State 6:30 am to 2 pm

I don't see how having the tournaments on Sunday will help the turnout! Unfortunatly I won't be able to fish it next year but it was a good tourny to fish. Lots of fun and run very fair.

    Hey there Calvin

If my memory is correct I have only fished aginst you one time and it was Ol Francis who picked my pocket.

I am not sure what I am going to fish next year but the Barren and Noiln part of that schedule does look good to me.

I hope to see you at the 05 Barren get together.
I want to take that trophy away from that OLD sly dog Francis.

RE: 2005 Southern Kentucky Marine Circuit

Payback is 90 % at the ramp with 10 % going to the Classic fund. The same % applies if less than 50 boats paying a place for every 7 entries. Also let me clarify something. I in no way want to knock Renegade. It is the best run circuit I have ever fished, bar none, and always will be as long as Sherbert Van Meter is running it. Having said that, not every one will like the schedule every year and is is nice to have alternatives.
