MDFF Tourney for 2005 date is set

Our annual Muscular Dystrophy Family Foundation Tournament date has been set for 2005. It will be held on April,10.2005 @ Brookville Reservoir once again. We are currently planning on launching out of Garhill ramp, but as some of you know, it can be difficult this time of year, so our alternate ramp is Fairfield, which we used last year. We raised over $2,500.00 last year and hope to surpass that this year. Once again, we have great sponsors on board, including a guided trip on Kentucky/Barkley lake by Dave Stewart. Last year we had Minn-Kota,Dual-Pro,Lucky Craft,Buckeye Baits,Baits While You Wait,Leatherman,Good Time Charlies Lake Erie Charters,Plapps Pro Outdoors,Grandt Rods,Charlie Brewer,Poor Boys and a few others. This year we hope to have the same plus a few others.
If your interested in fishing it, we will have entrys available shortly. I have a rough draft of one already if someone wants one e-mailed to them. They can also contact the MDFF and reserve your spot by phone with a credit card or debit card. You can check out the MDFF and what they do by going to there web site located @ www.mdff.org

The rules are the same as last year as well as the entry. It is $75.00 per boat with a five fish limit. You can fish alone or with a partner, price is the same. Big Bass pot of $10.00 per boat is optional. Your take off position is determined by the order of your paid entry. Once again we will be set up @ Frames Outdoors Shop on 101 from 3:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. Saturday for those who want to register then. We will also take entrys at the ramp the morning of the Tourney, but it will be an addtional $10.00 per boat. I will also have entrys @ our booth @ the Indy Boat Show as well as the local tackle stores around B-Ville. A friend of mine is also going to deliver some to Plapps and Dixie Marine and a few other places around the Cincy area.

I would also like to invite anyone to volunteer that wants to do so. Last year we had a very good group of volunteers that really made the event run very smoothly. Food and drinks will be supplied to all contestants and volunteers following the Tourney, a special thanks to Coca-Cola as they have agreed to do it again this year.

    Sincerely, Ray Rigby

    RE: Sponsor update

Here is a small list of sponsors so far. I am sure it will grow much larger. Last year we gave away a ton of stuff for the raffle, it was actually worth more than the entry fee

1.Dave Stewart has graciously donated a days guide service on Kentucky/Barkley Lake. You know that will be worht the price of a raffle ticket on it's own. www.kentuckylakeguide.com

    2. Buckeye Baits. Matt Frondorff is a small bait maker, but he always finds the time and products to support the MDFF Tourney. Thanks Matt. www.buckeyebaits.20m.com

    3. Hooked Up Bait Co. Tony has graciously agreed to pick up right where Todd left off, a loyal sponsor of the MDFF. Your tubes last year were a huge hit with the raffle winners and I am sure they will be again this year. Your loyal sponsorship is greatly appreciated. www.hookedupbait.com

    4. Leatherman: They have donated one multi-use tool for the serious fisherman. It has a value of $35.00 A sweet tool for sure.

5.Grandt Rods. Once again Jim Grandt has stepped to the front with one of his rods to give away for one lucky raffle ticket winner. www.grandtrods.com

6.Attwood Marine Products have gotten on board as well this coming year. If you want to check out what they have to offer, here is their web site: www.attwoodmarine.com

7.Redshad, a loyal board sponsor to Indiana Smallmouth Club has gotten on board with a first team out of the money prize package. Rod Yoder has always been a stalworth to our site. www.redshad.com

8.Cooks Tackle organizer has gotten on board as well. Tired of your stuuf getting all cluttered up in your boat, check out this product www.cookstackle.com

9.John Mills a.k.a Whittler has graciously agreed to donate some of his fine hand carved crank baits. If you want more information about his baits, be sure to e-mail him. jjmills@jayco.net

    10. Spike-It, the stuff you can't leave home without www.ispikeit.com

11.Power-Pro fishing line, a braid you can't fish without. www.powerpro.com

12.Okuma Fishing Reels. Should I say more? www.okumafishing.com

13.Stainless Hitch Balls. Tired of the ugly rusted ball on your truck, check these babies out. www.stainlesshitchballs.com

If you have not decided to fish or not, do so soon as this year your take off will be determined by the order your paid entry is received. Thanks for reading and considering fishing this event, it is definetly for a worthy cause.

    Sincerely, Ray Rigby
