Shed Hunting

Went for about a two hour walk last night and saw a ton of deer including several bucks. All bucks had their racks still on that I could tell and I did not find the first shed antler. Has anybody else found anything yet I still think it's pretty early, and the majority of bucks still have headgear attached.

No havent got out yet but a buddy said he saw a 4 pt.with just one side while working the other day. But I would say that the deer could have lost the other side in a fight, just a thought. When I do get out Ill let you know if I do any good.

Went back on Monday the 26th to check on a camera we have out and did some quick scanning for sheds and still nothing. I think they will start appearing in a few weeks or so.

Spinnerbait00 I haven't been since the last time I posted, especially with all this snow and stuff. Just as soon as this stuff clears out of the woods I'm gonna be out there looking. If you go let me know how you did and I'll post when I go, good luck and find the big ones.

I saw two little bucks still in headgear on the way home from work yesterday. I'm going to give them a couple of more weeks.

Now is the time. Got pics over a week ago on our Stealth Cam with two bucks that had dropped. Found some last year the end of Jan(nice ones!)

Went out today and found one side would have been a nice 10 pt. if Id had both sides. Had good mass and length.

Spinnerbait00, I still haven't found the first one yet, normally I've got two or three by now. I guess I'm not holding my mouth right this year or something, I'm glad you found one though.

I hit it hard last Sat and zeroed. I still have plenty of faith.

From the end of the season to now the deer have really been hiding out somewhere. There is mud track trails everywhere but havent jumped any deer. I dont know what the deal is. But I also have faith, my buddy is heading out tomorrow 2-19-04 to check our camera and look around. Ill let yall know what he has to say.

This is wierd nobody I've talked to have done any good this year finding sheds, and believe me we are looking where there are plenty of bucks. I'm really at a loss for what the deal is? I wanted to ask Gene and or Barry Wensel at the Strader show but didn't get a chance too. Just wondering if they may have some insight on this mystery. Oh well keep looking fellows I'll keep you posted if I find anything.
