    Elk slaughter by F & W -- meat laid to waste

    You all hear about them elk that got blasted and left to rot uo there in the mountains. What a waste. Someone should be fired and fired on for letting it happen.

    Why in the world did they do that? I'm sure someone around there would have gladly taken the meat, wouldn't mind trying it myself.

    Not a waste.
    10 elk saved.
    Not MASSIVE as reported by moron from Lexington.
    Get over it .. they did what they were supposed to do and said they would do if an ELK or group of elk got to be a problem.
    Could not use meat because Dept. Policy says animal killed by Dept. Personell has to be autopsied. Took to long with guts in animal.
    Could not be used to feed people...
    SO put out in front of cameras to feed local scavengers..
    Department got good scientific info.. on scavenger population etc...
    Life is not fair... get over it.
    More important things in the world than 2 dead elk.
