Fort Knox not what it use to be.

We usually go to Knox every year, I've got an excellent place to hunt and only go because of my buddies. Man every year it seems it declines more and more, they put us in tank area this year and there was 30 guys in an area that wouldn't accomodate 15. It looked like a nuclear bomb went off in that place, nothing but scalded fields and mud as far as the eye can see. And man you've got to love that Fort Knox mud there's nothing like in the world, takes 6 months to wear it off a pair of boots. Why do they put sooo many guys in an area and know they are gonna be in each others laps, alot guys got pissed off and went home. I expect to see plenty of hunters there but this was ridiculous and they are gonna mess around and get somebody killed, as you know there are alot of novice hunters there every year.

Come to Fort Campbell and hunt, its really good. As far as hunters per area its rationed off in a sensible way. I am not sure about the numbers but its like 100 wooded acres per hunter in a shotgun area. There is plenty of room and I rarely see someone else.

Sounds like you were in the same area we were! I think it was area 9. I didn't even go back the next day.

Crazy we were right beside you in area 10 and we didn't go back the next day either, it was ridiculous. I seen a little basket rack, 2 does out of range and a BUNCH of orange, and of course MUD,MUD,MUD,and more mud.
