Hi guys. You mostly see me on the Illinois fishing board but now that the lakes and ponds are hard up here in the north I'm switching gears to hunting and plinking around. I have a desire for a new (or used) .22 rifle and I'm looking at the Taurus 63. It meets all but one critera for me that being it is a stock or front tube loader, semi auto and at least 39 inches in leanght. What I don't like is it's an LR only. I have a Mossberg that is lever action that will shoot LR or CB shorts. I'd like to have a semi auto that does the same. I want it to load via a front tube or stock loader and of couse be semi automatic. I don't much care for the 22/10's out there or the clips either. If I had to choose I would take a clip loader if I could get the long and short shell option in a semi auto.
Any suggestions? Any for sale? Have FOID Card will travel.

The Remington Model 552 is an autoloader and will shoot shorts, longs or long rifles interchangably.
