trolling motors

I would like some advise on buying a lower end foot controlled trolling motor. minn kota or motorguide say about 40# thrust which seem to hold up better?

I have had a 33 lb MinnKota All terrain I got from WalMart.
Been using it for 5 years, no problems.

Same here. I have the lower end m/k and it has worked very well. Better than the last few motorguide trolling motors i have had or been around.

ive got a nice trolling motor 4 sale if you or anyone wants 1,its a motorguide pro series 6700. it has 67 lbs of thrust and is only 2 yrs old. i just bought a brand new triton package and dont need it any more....il let it go for 300 dollars...it retails for over 600....its a 24 volt trolling motor and is in great shape....i also have a dual pro 10/10 two bank charger i dont need anymore eitheri gave 125.00 for it last spring ill let it go for 75.00 too. if you or anyone else is interested call me at502-817-0970....thanks ...doug
