LAST EDITED ON Jan-13-06 AT 12:15PM (EST)[p]Anyone who goes to Rough River Laurel Ramp should be very careful launching. There is a pot hole in the middle of the ramp about six feet down the ramp from the present water line (about one foot above winter pool). I was there yesterday and didn’t have a real problem and apparently no one else did either but it could get bigger and be a problem.

I notified the Corps of Engineers at Rough River this morning but who knows how long it would take to get it fixed and, as I told the Ranger, the more people that use the ramp, the bigger the hole may get. To avoid the hole, you need to stay all the way to either side of the ramp, which is what I did when I brought my boat out. OR, use a different ramp.
