Anyone out there ever caught many white bass over winter? Seems like maybe they could be located back in the creek arms this time of year. I have talked with some crappie fisherman that have caught some while fishing with minnows in December. Would like to hear some other thoughts.

Isn't the Salt River (above Taylorsville Lake) off limits from November through February? This is due to deer hunting in the Taylorsville Wildlife Management area in November and the fact that it's a waterfowl refuge during the rest of the winter. Just wondering how you're able to get in there when it's restricted from all types of access? Are there areas that can be fished during this time and, if so, where are they?
Any help or tips would be appreciated.

He never said he fished the WMA during the winter months.......he just said he wade fished the SALT RIVER during the winter months.
True, the WMA is off limits till March 1st. But the Salt River in Anderson County can be fished from the Mercer County line all the way to the WMA, which is quite a distance. Also he is telling the truth about catching white bass in there year round........I know because I have done the same. You'll find em in the usual places.......
