I have been reading about these units and like what I hear but was wondering if someone could respond and discuss the + and - of these units.

I have used these units, the 48 to be exact. I am used to eagle/lowrance units so its a little different. I really like the unit, especially the 3-d depictions, just dont like the price of it, for that much $$ i want a color screen

I just got a Matrix 97 off ebay for $630.00 + $50.00 rebate. I have not got it installed as of yet, still need a few parts. I did do a lot of reading and it seem to be a nice unit.

I have had a 27 model for the past year and it is a very good unit. I like the way you can add and expand it's usefulness as your pocketbook allows. It did take a while to learn the readings, but once you get it tuned in then it shows everything you need to see. I have the hookup for my hand held GPS but I have not gotten a chance to use it on the water. It is very easy to hook up with the wiring provided and removing the unit from the mount when not in use is easy.

$580.00 and I just got off the phone with Humminbird to trade in the transducer that came with it for a Quadrabeam, Dualbeam transducer combo. And surface temperature cable for an extra $11.00
