Need info on the Ranger Z series boats

Particularliy the 21 - 22 ft lengths. Have a buddy that is considering buying one and needs input from a present owner on perfomance, ride, issues, etc. Not looking for an argument or brand war about boat brands or why another brand is better. Just some straight up info from anyone that has or had one. All and any info on likes, dislikes, what they think could have been better, etc. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Thanks, I've been there and so has my buddy. There is some good info there. However, there are the Ranger bashers and the Ranger koolaid drinkers too, so its really hard to get the straight poop.

Really looking to talk to a present or recent owner and get some good, straight info. His main comcern is the ride on rough water. He has a 2004 Ranger 520 and from what he understands the Z Series used the 520 hull and that was not Rangers best hull for really rough water. So he wants to hear from a present owner how it handles rough water, not 1-2 ft chop, he is talking 2-4's and long rides.
