The man who taught me how to fish and helped feed a passion that I truely love, passed away yesterday. My grandfather taught me how to tie on a hook, thread a worm and how to reel in "a big one" left us yesterday at the age of 93.
I owe him a lot and everytime I go fishing, I take his gift with me.
So please remember...take a kid fishing. They'll never forget you for it.
Btw, he leaves 18 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild. We should all be so lucky.

My Condolences to you and your family.
Beautiful post. The great thing is you still take your Grandfather with you everytime you go, What he instilled in you will never leave. I'll bet the fish pull harder in heaven anyway.
Excellent post and very respectful, I'm sure your grandfather would be proud. He's now in God's great landing net.
My condolences to you and your family. I bet he's got keeper on up there already, I hear there's some real honey holes where he went.
You have my condolences and your family. I know what ya mean my Dad taught me all that stuff and then I taught him to Bass fish. He passed away at 81, that was 8 years ago. To this day every time I go fishing I think of him and the days we had tigether on the water. Its a good feeling to be able to have those memories so cherish them. Maybe my dad and your grandpa are fishing together today where every bite is a big one. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family during thes hard times. Take care. Enjoy your memories cos you will have them for along time.
