Get a good map and find the flats that are near deep water. Grubs swam slowly just above the bottom bumping it every now and then will get your arm broke. Do alot of fan casting. If they are not on the flats they will be where they drop into the channel or deeper water. Look for clay or long (flat) tapering points also. Use 1/8 to 1/4 lead head jig with a large hook for the grubs. Make sure you keep contact with the bottom or weeds. Be patient. From dawn to mid morning will be the fastest bite then they may move deeper as the sun gets up or stay shallow if its overcast. Spinnersbaits early will work also. The upper end of the lake should be best this time of year. Lots of other ways to catch them but this works for me every year without fail. Good luck.
