If I remember correctly, several have said they don't really know what hydrilla looks like vs. coontail. I was sitting here thinking how I am one of those people, so I did some searches on Google for images. I thought I would share some. Click on the images, and you can go to the website and get some more information, for example I pasted some from the Hydrilla page. It did appear that there were more than one type, but not real sure as I did not do a lot of reading on it just yet.

Hydrilla

"""Hydrilla is native to Africa, Australia, and the warmer parts of Asia. It is sometimes called Indian star-vine.

This invader was brought to Florida in 1959 to sell as a plant for aquariums. Some of the imported plants were dumped into canals.

This invader grew fast and soon became a problem.""""

Coontail

It seems to me that I have seen more of the Coontail.

Any other types folks would like to see?
