Ramp is usable, fishing has been slow due to the cold snaps I guess. Stop by the BP station between Jamestown and Russell Springs on Hwy 127 (Bass Pro Shop) and ask them whats be working. I know jerkbaits have produced a few good fish. Good luck!

I am taking my girlfriend to Cumberland Saturday. We are planning to put in at the dam. Does anyone know what the fish are doing and if that ramp is usable?

Pick up some shiners and nose hook them pitch them close to steep bluff walls. Use a small no.4 hook and a small split shot on spinning takle and light line. Lots of fun plenty of action from smallmouth and spots. Not to hard to do eighter. Good luck and hope it helps.
Ramp at the dam is fine. Been catching some nice spots(2-2.5lbs) on live nightcrawlers last couple of weeks. Cold fronts have kept these fish from hitting artificials consistently, but they will jump all over nightcrawlers dragged by real slow. water temps were about 52 2 weesk ago, but 47-49 last week. Good luck!
