Watch out for muskie! I was bass fishin' the other day and caught a 40" on a 6.5' spinning rod and 10lb test!
What is the water level at green? as well as the water color? it is the time of year to give the crappie eaters an attitude adjustment.

The color is stained and it's 3.2' below summer pool.

We fished it Saturday and caught some SLAB crappie's!!! Water was between 50-53 and stained. Fish were caught as deep as 24 ft to as shallow as 8 ft. All were full of eggs...

Just got back today and the crappie at green are the best I've ever seen. had several in th 12-14 inch range. Caught between
6-15 ft. that 9" size limit is starting to pay off!

Yeah I was shocked, I always over looked this lake and the sad thing is it only 20 mins from my door, I think I'll spend more time there this year.
I did see something funny and stupid there saturday...we were fishing a bank when I heard boom,boom,boom,boom, it was a ski boat with a speaker bar on top flying down the lake, well the more I looked the more something stood out...someone dumba$$ was WATERSKIING behind it, in shorts and a tank top to beat it all off!!!!!! The water temp as 53 degrees and we did see him go down a few times also. It was unreal....

Yeah I was there Sat. as well, I seen the same boat. I have only been on this lake one other time in my life, but i was just 10 years old, lol. I normally fish herrington and cumberland, but I decided to drive down there and check it out, I really enjoyed the drive and the fishing. I was Bass Fishing.

One of my customers went out over the weekend, there was 4 of them fishing they cought around 120 crappie with 70 keepers biggest was 14", cought them on sun fly jigs along the creek channel at snake creek. Said they had a few whites also, they should be starting to run also.
