I'm not a a die hard bluegill fisherman, but my deacons drag me to lake malone on occassion and it consistantly produces nice keeper bluegill. Take an ultralite and some crickets and warm up the deep fryer!

Check out KY Lake. Darrell caught a warmouth that was easily a pound or more. Those fish are everywhere down there, and big too. when you get those big breem of every subspecies hitting bass lures and putting up a decent fight on medium heavy tackle, you know they are good uns... as if there are bad 'uns... huh?

    Peabody, peabody, peabody.

Numbers and quality. Best I've ever seen. Better hurry and fish it while we can guys, peabody land is selling like "hotcakes" right now.

    BankBeater.....

Nawwwww I don't eat any of the fish I catch. I turn them all loose. I figure if I want to eat a fish, I'll go buy one already dead.

OK, now the truth, my wife figures that I'll go buy one that is already dead. If it were up to me, I'd eat what I catch. I love fresh fish.

    RE: BankBeater.....

Just left Reelfoot this weekend on the Ky/Tn line and caught over 200 big bull blue gill in two boats. 90% were very large. All on crickets with a 13 ft jigging poles. I'm not a big blue gill fisherman but my friends go every year and I tagged along this year. Most fishermen were catching at least 25-50 Crappie per day also with spider rigs.
