The new ones on the market use LED lights and are awesome, but costly. I use a Stan Sloan piggy back which has a white light underneath to illuminate the bank you are fishing. That is my choice.

    RE: Blacklights

I'm with Cobra 190, I have had the sloan's piggyback for several years and have never had a problem with it. I just wish I could find the hardware for the quick connect rather than the suction cups. Anyone have any ideas?

Not sure exactly what you are talking about but if the quick connect you are talking about is the male connector, you can get those at Radio Shack. I would think you could get female connectors as well from Radio Shack as I know people who have made their own adapters.

You may find an old adapter from a sonar that can be adapted to the blacklight. There are clamps on the market that clamp on a rod, the side of your boat and some screw down on the side of the boat. You may look in Bass Pro and Cabela's or on ebay. I pick up two nice clamps in my neighor's yard sale a few year ago and they have worked great.

    RE: Blacklights

I work For a Store that is a Bass Pro Dealer and we have mostly stan slones, I have a couple my self and love them. What I found interesting is a Man From bass pro come in the other day and brought a new black light with him and it was nice. Its not been released yet but it is half the size of any good blacklight and it is not even a foot long.. It has strong led's in it and very nice.. It is just as bright or even brighter than my stan slones.IT will be out soon he said. Cant wait im going to get one.. I think he said they will be around $100-150
