unweighted worm, like maybe a trick worm, or a small senko.
something that will sit in the "zone" a while.

O.K., you just had one short strike a topwater, or spinnerbait, or crankbait. Do you guys throw the same bait right back or do you throw something different at them real quick. If they are really on something I'm throwing I'll go right back in with same bait, however if they are a little funky I'll go back with plastic or a jig. What do you guy's and gal's do???

White Super Fluke or Green Pumpkins Tube either/or rigged weightless, especially after a buzzbait strike or Zara Spook where the strike was massive. If the strike was a light strike and miss on a buzzbait I will follow with a spinnerbait of same color running a few feet under the surface reeling as slow as possible but keeping it a few feet under the surface. If the original miss was on spinnerbait then I keep throwing the spinnerbait and don't change to follow up with anything new.
Tight Lines
After a short strike on a buzzbait, I try to follow with a 1/4 oz. Rooster Tail. I try to keep it at the same speed as the buzz, but a few feet under the surface. Anything deeper, I follow with a tube.
