I live 5 minutes from the Greenwood boat ramp on the otherside of the river. Have never fished the Ohio but it sounds like I should start.....

The river is HOT HOT HOT now ........The Bass are gourging themselves rioght now ...I have caught over 40 pounds of Bass from one point in 5 trips in the last 2 weeks !!!!And over 50% were SMALLIES !!!!!

I fish from a 1968 Winner bass boat with no live well ...so I cant really enter a tourney with out rigging a cooler live well ...Oh well Im excited ...I love the River
We have also been tearing up the Hybrids at the Hydro .....Rattling rouges has been the ticket on these fish

just got back from the Hydro got a #7 and #5 hybrid in 1 hour of fishing

I fished the area below the Hydro's back during labor day weekend...It was the first time I had ever fished this area. I caught one 3lb Drum and several dink stripers...to anyone considering fishing this area of water be sure to use extra caution and wear a life jacket...DJF - What sort of rogue, deep, medium or shallowing diving?

hey jfw....when you say the hydro. do you mean at the falls of the ohio or the LGE plant? and i assume if your launching at the clarksville ramp your fishing below the falls? isnt that the ramp at the falls? i hear about alot of people fishing at the hydro but im confused as to where exactly they are fishing. thanks for your help
Its directly across from the Clarksville Ramp ,,,the hydro is where the electricty is made the spillway is there also
You mentioned catching hybrids below the hydro. Are they still catching stripers below the dam? I live in the Louisville area and used to fish for the stripers back in the 80's and early 90's when they stocked them heavy but I haven't fished for them in several years. Just curious if they are still stocking and/or catching. Man in the late 80's when they were pouring them on we had several trips where we caught over 50 fish. We never caught many big fish but those were the days!!!
