    New Tournament Trail

    Tournament Rules:

    1. All contestants must fish boat docks or at minimum no further than 150 feet away from marina's.

    2. Cutting in on other fishermen's water is encouraged with bonus points awarded for creative interference.

    3. All fishermen must fish from 21 foot boats with 225 or higher horse-power, all boats and tow vehicles must be financed for at least 5 years. Proof of debt required, with bonus points given for financing of more than 10 years.

    4. 15 inch size minimum, except for spots, which will be 12 inches. A bass will be determined to be a spot upon the contstant's sworn statement that "it felt like he had a patch on his tounge to me". If a fish does not measure on the weigh-master's board, the contestant may re-measure on his own board, regardless of its bent and beaten condition. If a fish is still short under this circumstance, the fish will be thrown into a cooler for the post tournament fish fry.

    5. Any angler caught cheating will be either a)disqualified or b) given bonus points depending upon the complexity of the cheating angler's sheme. (i.e. Simply tying up a basket to a houseboat and loading it with fish will not be rewarded, however, a series of milk crates planted staregically and properly baited with a one way trap door might be handsomely rewarded, particularly if the traps are blue-printed and diagramed Wyle E. Coyote style.)

    6. Launch will begin at sunrise and end at 11:00 as anglers are encouraged to hold up traffic by backing to the water before preparing their boat for launch. Launching proceedures will be strictly supervised by a team of Ohio pleasure boaters, and anyone caught taking less than 25 minutes per launch will have points taken away.

    7. Contestants are required to ridicule any bank or float tube fisherman, or non-bass fishermen in general, on tournament waters.

    8. In the event of a tie, the angler who complains the most and loudest will be determined as victor. An actual citation issued to a participant by KDFWR during tournament hours shall trump any amount of complaining. Altercation resulting in arrest shall also be favorably considered in the event of a tie.

Things seem kind of slow without any of the old fashioned threads to get everyone good and excited about so I figured I could wrap it up into one big post and have some fun with it. If I left out anything that sticks in peoples craw, feel free to amend the rules as they are subject to change without notice.

Sounds like a fun club. There is only one rule that you left out. Do you get any points for drinking alcoholic beverages or bumping a jet skier?

How about a rule that anglers will be docked 1 lb per minute late penalty, unless they are in a good friendship standing with tournament director, in which they will get a slap on the back and asked to try to be back on time next tournament.

Rule #9) Bonus points will be given to any competitor that asks what the "official time" is, 36 hours prior to the start of the tournament.

#10) Bonus points will be given to all competitors that threaten a lawsuit against the tournament director.

    And last but not least.....

Just hand over the keys to the new boat, to the guy that wants to file a protest because.....someone was following him during practice and watching him through binoculars and then after he caught a fish the guy would GPS that spot.

    RE: New Tournament Trail

    New Rule,

Any fish caught while prefishing for a tourney maybe tied up to be saved for use on tournament day. Partner is encouraged to be wih you, but as long as someone saw you catch it, your word is taken. Bonus points are awarded if any fisherman can produce a limit catch within the first 15 minutes of blastoff.

Once the limit is produced, the tournament committee will hold your catch in a airated tank to keep your fish alive. NO Penatly will be give if your fish die while in holding. Fisherman will be able to return to the water and any fish that betters their smallest will be able to be weighed and the other fish given to their best fishin buddy to help them better their weight.

1 lb will be added to total weight of those wearing at least 5 fishing related logos (hats, coats, shirts, etc). 2lbs will be added if you have no real affiliation with any of your pretend sponsors but you just want to look like you do.
