I believe the winning weight was 12.7 pounds. I watched the weigh in and saw some good bags of bass being weighed. The bottom money at 15th place was around 6 pounds. Bluebird day had to be tough on some folks. Lots of largemouth weighed though from what I could see. Those guys had food there for everyone. Homeade Jambayala. Prizes galore and a very strong payout. Those guys do an exceptional job. they had 135 Teams fish and the attendance was down due only to the KBF and FOM tourneys along with the Deer opening season for muzzloading. They told us there that the tourney would be back in the 2nd week of Nov next year and that the size limit may be put back to 12" inches on spots, which would be fine with me. It was tough, but overall not a lot of 12" spots caught and it would surprise you of the 15" spots weighed! A good tourney once again. LCG

It was a good tourney as usual, fishing was tough to say the least especially the 15" limit on spots, I think that hurt the number of bags weiged in, only 35 out of 135 weighed fish and I wasn't in the 35 if the 12" rule had been in affect I would have had a limit. I beleive John said he was going to change it back to 12" next year.

Ok someone needs to tell John . You stay away from the 3rd weekend in October( muzzle loading ) and the 2nd week in Nov (OPENING DAY OF GUN SEASON) !!!!! Man in Ky those dates are holidays.
It didn't take much to money 4 lbs and I think .67 was 15th. I thought it would pay a little more for First Place . They didn't announce the amount but someone said $1250.00. (correct me if that is not right). Second was 1000.00 ,all in all not a bad days work.

I know of at least 10 boats who didn't weigh a fish that said they would of had a limit of 12 inch spots. One team mentioned that they caught 14 spots between 12 and 14 1/2 but zeroed
The 15 inch size limit hurt them on entries and people leaving there smiling. It can be frustrating to catch a lot of fish and have to throw them back because some one last year got mad because they couldn't tell the difference between a large mouth and a spot.
