Ramps on Nolin after drawdown

Can someone that fishes Nolin let me know which ramps are best to use after drawdown. I have heard Wax is ok, any others? Iberia, Nolin Estates???

Thanks,
John

The Ramp at Wax can be tough by yourself plus a lot of things in the water to watch out for. I like Moutardier ramp better in the winter with the lake at winter pool.

Iberia, Dog Creek and Nolin Estates will all be closed shortly. I have used the ramp at the State Park in the past and it is not too bad, but like Moutardier, it is a little longer drive if you are coming down from the North. Wax just requires some extra caution when motoring out to the main channel.

Moutardier??????

So Moutardier is open and usable all winter? How about the courtesy dock?

Just curious.

Thanks,

LAST EDITED ON Oct-17-05 AT 07:44PM (EST)[p]Danny, even your legs aren't long enough to get up on the Courtesy Dock after they drop the lake 25 feet. LOL

I never have figured out why they bothered building stationary docks that can only be used about three months out of the year, at most. Floating docks may have been harded to maintain but they would have been more usable most of the year.

RE: Moutardier??????--LMAO

Thanks Grumpy...

I kind of feel like that should have been a DUH question...LMAO

I did not consider they drop that lake 25 feet. No wonder you beat me to death that day... LOL

Hope all is still going well.

Danny

PS, if you're off jury duty, let me know. Maybe you can hook up with me tomorrow and do some fishing at barkley? It will depend on what we find out today for mom in law. I couldn't love her more if she was my birth mother, and has severe health problems. We will be at the doctor's this afternoon. I'll check back here or my email and see if you would be interested.

RE: help me danny

crazy, you must be crazy, and desparate to ask for my help...LOL

Let's decide when to go... and we will. I did not get to go today, as I had hoped, and I am pretty upset about it actually. Just seems right now nothing is working out the right way for me. Oh well, maybe soon.

Hey, you guys still meeting at Buffalo Wild Wings? Also, what time? I have an interview tomorrow, and trying to get my wife to go to BG with me afterwards. Thought I would try to stop in and say hi!!

I do know this, my boat is all but paid for, and I can't seem to get to the lake. If this continues, I think I'll sell it and all the gear. Then when it seems times will be better for me to fish, I'll start all over. I'm getting pretty P.O.ed about not getting to the lake, especially with all this beautiful weather we have had.
