    Rod Opinion

Would like to see what everyone's opinion is on these rods. I'm looking for a good Worming and Jig Rod. Which do you think would be the lightest and most sensitive?

    Kistler LTA
    St.Croix Avid
    H&H rods

St. Croix Avid, very nice. Have you thought about G Loomis? I have a few of them and love them, but the Avid series is great also. Never used the others you mentioned, so my opinion is biased.

It depends on your budget. But the Gloomis GLX jig worm rod in the 6'8" med-hvy is hard to beat. It is the lightest most sensitive and resposive rod I have ever used. Just depends on what you want to spend. Someone mention the Allstar and its a great rod also. I guess the point is this. All of the rod brands that have been mentioned are good. See if you know anyone with any of the rods your interested in and see if they will let you try them out. Cast and pitch with it and see how it feels in your hands. I may tell you to go with a loomis but an H&H might feel better to you. So try to handle some of the rods and most important. Go with one that has a lifetime warranty.

Look at several different rods to see which one that fits you best. I like Falcon Cara. Nice rod for the money.

I have the Kistler LTA, with a scorpion MG reel. Very light and sensitive outfit. It's my main worm rod. I did break it after ~5 trips on a hookset, but only had to pay $15 to get a new one, which I received within a week.

Which model of these rod manufactures would you guys look at to accompany a Shimano Sahara series spining reel? I don't have the reel yet but hope to get it soon...

I agree with the Falcon Cara. If that is out of budget, check out the Falcon Lowrider rods. All are sevsitive with a good backbone for a hook set, and light. Good luck
