ANYONE RUNNING A EVINRUDE E-TEC?

Just wondering if anyone has seen or is running these new engines? They really seem to be the ticket!!! Just got the boat tests in a 2006 Bullet 20XLDC 225HO Evinrude E-Tec 5800 rpm 85.5 mph turning a 14 1/2 x 30 Raker. That's movin on!!!!

I've been in a few boats on test drives with customers that had the new E-Tecs. Their nice motors. But if you looking at the Bullets, your better off with a Mercury or Yamaha. Mercury would be the better choice for resales since most Bullet Owners bleed black and red. Plus that E-Tec HO is going to cost you a couple grand more than a Optimax XS and be 4-5 mph slower.

I'll bet you'll find the E-tech will be more reliable and get better gas mileage.......

The E-Tec will but not the E-Tec HO. There was an article in Bass & Walleye a few months ago, I'll have to dig that out and see what the GPH were, I think Yamaha had the best.
