Peter... Very Wierd thing I noticed!!!

I have found that when I go a day or two without viewing the site, and threads move to the second page, they show as unread. I often check page two when I've been gone for a couple of days so I can see if there are any new posts I've missed.

So, when I go to page 2, all the threads show unread, even if I know I have read them.

This may be the strangest... when I click back on the "1" to return to page one, now all those posts show as unread. So when I then click on my favorites, or bookmarks, and I choose the KY discussion board, it refreshes and shows all the threads as read again.

    Very, very confusing???????

    Any thoughts?

    Tight lines and God Bless

    Danny

    Thanks for bring that up.

Check out this setting in user prefference and see if it helps:

    Use MARK time stamp feature?
Select "yes" if you wish to use the MARK time stamp feature to keep track of new messages. In this mode, you manually mark forums when you finish reading all the messages in that forum. Otherwise, your last visit time stamp is used to keep track of new messages.

Sounds like it is annoying. I am working on the new, new board and I'm going to keep doing that rather than investiagate this problem any further. There is not much support available for this software anymore. The new one has plenty of support and is industrial strength and most likely will work better. It has a choice of three settings to keep track of what a user has read.

Thanks again. Let me know if you see anything else unusual, as it may be easy to fix.
