    crappie and catalpa worms

Has anyone ever used catalpa worms to fish for crappie? I have access to about 500 worms and was planning a Kentucky river crappie trip this weekend. Just wondering. any help is appreciated.

Ron ... I think you'll find that Catalpa worms are going to get you more bites from Catfish, Sunfish, & Drum, than from Crappie. Not that you can't/won't catch Crappie with them .... it's just not their "preferred" bait. ....... cp
