Don't know...
But leaving them there can also make some bonehead just pick them up and throw them in the lake.
Grumpy: I did not leave the keys yesterday, and yes, I thought about leaving them there on Saturday night, but I figured the odds might be a little better that the person who lost them might either visit this site or might ask around and someone who does visit this site would tell them about the post. There seem to be a lot of Cedar Creek folks who visit this site and the owner of the local bait store puts a report up, so I figure he must visit the site. I'll give you that there is a chance that this guy might have come back looking for his keys but he also just as well might have gone home and put up his boat for the next month without knowing that his keys were missing until he went out again.
Since you know and see all, I'll try to keep your e-mail handy so the next time I have to make a judgment call I can consult with you.
Good show, I'll be glad to help you anythime you need advice.

Our God and the soldier we alike adore.
But at the brink of danger, not before:
After deliverance, both alike requited,
God is forgotten, the soldier slighted.

Just a thought... why not post a note at the ramp you found them, and give them to the bait shop nearby.
But did you catch any fish????:)
bje, I can only hope that if I ever loose my boat keys that someone as helpful as you finds them and goes to such an effort to get them back to the owner. You set a good example, Drew Sadler.
I mentioned this post on the Radio Yesterday.. You may get a response.. or not.
