Cedar Creek info

I'm going to fish Cedar Creek for the first time on Saturday. We're planning on putting in at the ramp nearest 150. Anyone have any info they would like to share? Navigation/ramp hazards, local restaurants - any info appreciated. I/m not asking for GPS locations of your honey holes, just general info. What is the primary forage base? What color jigs do they like?

Get a good map and do what you like to do. The lake rarely gets muddy but can get clear. I like the lake and have always done well on numbers but NEVER keepers. Black/Blue jigs work well for me out there. It's great with alot of cover to flip so enjoy! :)

The ramps are all brand new and there are no real hazards with them. Since the lake is so small, it really doesn't matter which one you launch from.

Navigation hazards would be shallow areas and tree tops.

Hit Cedar Creek last Sunday and it was dead D-E-A-D dead. The water was brown and must be rolling over. My Lowrance was marking a lot of fish in the 10-20 foot range and I threw everything in the boat with no luck. I've also heard several crappie fishermen complaining that the crappie are just not growing.

Any updates on the conditions down there? I'm concidering on going for the first time tomorrow. I would hate to get down there and find it turning over or being very muddy. Thanks in advance.

Are you kidding? Air temps in the 70's and you need a better reason? :-) Go and give it a try. If i had the day off i would be there in a heartbeat! We fished it right after the flooding rains a couple of months ago and it was clear/stained then. Good Luck.
