Navionics plus chip

I have a lowrance gen 2 12 touchscreen and have been running a navionics chip for my lake maps .i just purchased a navionics plus chip and was wondering if all i have to do is install the new chip and it will work or do i need to do installation on my unit? Any help would be greatly appreciated

The micro SD cards are plug and play. You may have to select the use of the card in the settings of your unit but that's it.
