Fished Barren yesterday afternoon with a buddy. We had 6 keepers and a slot between us with the best being 17". Fished the main lake and the bite was pretty slow. Everything finessing, nothing on cranks. I heard others had some good ones on crankbaits though. Water temps 47-49 with perfect color.

Not a word Jim, about me taking off from work fishing for yesterday I spent 17 consecutive hours grinding away here at the plant while you were enjoying yourself on Barren. Not another word from you and I hope you remember this every day next week when I am again sacrificing for the good of all every day, daylight to dark on Dale Hollow looking for a fish or two myself.

Is that the wind blowing in here or did somebody say something? A 17 hour grind or two is a mere pittance to pay for your lake time last week.

Man, we got a new variant of the spybot virus on our network here, and I worked till after 8pm Mon and Tue. Servers and end users going nuts everywhere. (I'd like to terminate a few virus authors with my bare hands) Even a corporate flunky has to get out and decompress a little every now and then. They're workin me like a rented mule again today.

Who's going with you next week? If you got a spare seat I might be able to make it one day. I have yet to get a decent shot at an FnF fish, and there's a lot of that stomach flu going around this time of year.

I will be fishing in the frostbite tourney. It will be the first time I've been on the lake for 2 weeks. I can't wait to wet a line. Sounds better than setting inside watching two horrible basketball teams play each other (UK vs.UL). I would rather feel the tug of a 7 pounder on the end of my line and fill the livewell up with about 25 pounds. By the way I will be the one with the goose egg at the weigh in.

Hey. Temps yesterday afternoon ranged from 43-46. Lake is clear and at normal level with a slowwwwwwww bite. Did you fish the Frostbite?
