I've got a legit question. How do you go about legally selling a gun? I mean think about all the paperwork that goes into buying a gun from a dealer in today's market. So how would a guy like me go about selling a rifle or old handgun? What if someone was selling an old rifle or shotgun that was a hand me down from back when the wepons were not registered?

I'm just curious about this subject. I have wondered how gun shows do it also.

Anyway, I hope you have some of those answers.

I really don't know Danny. I don't know if its legal or not. I hadn't really thought about it. With the way my luck has been running I'm liable to get arrested for trying to sell them. I have bought and sold several guns over the years to friends and other people. I think I have only registered one gun and that was bought at a sporting goods store new. I don't know how all these people at gun shows and in the classifieds get by with it. Maybe someone could tell us. I just hope they go soon. Since I lost my job last fall I have been selling off all of my good stuff to pay the bills. I hope I find a decent paying job soon before I go under. Anyways thanks for posing a difficult question to me. LOL!!! CHAD

I too lost my job last fall. The good thing about it was since spring was always my busiest time of the year, I got to fish a lot during the best time of the year this year. OK, not as much as I wish... that dang money thing...LOL

Something will come this way for us... yep, I'm still out of work.

I'm thinking I should just stay retired. I hear Devilshorse will sponsor me next year with gas, insurance, and entry fees.... LOL

Don't sell across state lines. don't sell to felons remember the person must be 18 to buy a long gun or 21 to buy a pistol and check driver license to establish age and residency

I just got from a family member a sweet Winchester 30-30, about 25 years old, and never fired. Brand new condition.

What would it be worth if I were to sell it, which I don't plan to do.

BTW, it is lever action.
