my buddy said he saw a bait caster reel that had a button on it that you pushed to inch your jig along the bottom. I think this would be a waste but is it true? or is he confused anyone have a idea he said it is a new product and cost over the 200 mark

Quantum also has a version that came out last year. It was a sweeet reel. The twitching bar accesory was pretty interesting and I could see how it could be very effective. The only concern that I would have with it is that it would probably keep me hung up more and I can't handle that kind of aggravation.LOL But on the way it works and moves the jig it would definetly add to the presentation. 239 bucks at bass pro shop is a little to pricey for me though. JMHO
I've got one of the viento's and love it. It's not only good for slowing down but the reel is very nice without the "twitching bar". The bar is just an added perk. It's very smooth, handles big fish well, and will cast light baits. I would recommend it.
