March 10th.
For the last two days temps have been in the 50~60 range. I drove past a local lake and the ice is still covering it. I know it will "all" be off soon,,, How does the water look in Southern Ind? "HARD" or back to normal
Lake Lemon,,, Monroe,,, or Patoka.
Spring is so close,,, I can smell it.

Ice ?
The ice went away about 2 weeks ago . My new ice auger arrived last Monday . Har !
Got on Monroe first thing Sat morning and launched at Paynetown. Still quite a bit of thin ice in the bay and had to maneuver to get out to open water. By mid-day very little ice still in the backs of some pockets and by about 3:00no ice in Paynetown at all. Water was 39 when I launched and 41 when I got out.

Alas,,, central Ind. still has ice on the water. I just watched Indy. fire and rescue
pull two fellows off the ice at Eagle Creek Resv. They took out a sail boat and "Skimmed it" on top of the ice. YEP! stuck "on" & "In"the ice till someone saw them waving for help.
"Thank all of you" for the info about southern Ind. water conditions.
