Thumbs up Fishers of Men Legacy Series - Adult/Jr. Barren River Lake

The first Legacy Series event for the Kentucky Divisions will be held on Barren River Lake on April 7th, 2007.

    From the FOM Website:

The Fishers of Men National Tournament Trail is pleased to introduce it’s new “Legacy Series” Competitive fishing for the next generation presented by Shakespeare. The “Legacy Series” will consist of 33 Divisions in 21 states featuring exclusive Adult/Junior competition.

Each Legacy Division will conduct 2 Tournaments scheduled during the “prime time” of fishing in their respective areas. Here the top 1/3 of the field will earn a check based on their cumulative team weight. There will also be 2 Big Fish awards at each event. Teams will strive to earn an invitation to the “Legacy Series National Championship” presented by Strike King where the winning team will take home a new Triton/Mercury/Motorguide package valued at $25,000.

The top ten teams in each Division or 50% of the average participation of the Division will qualify for the 1st ever “Legacy Series National Championship” presented by Strike King. The Championship will be held July 27th & 28th 2007 and will be preceded by 2 days of official practice. There will be a mandatory meeting of all teams on Thursday night July 26th at a location to be announced.

Each Legacy Divisional Tournament will be preceded by the popular Friday night Pre-tournament meeting where anglers and their families will receive a free meal, hear an inspirational message and have the opportunity to win valuable door prizes. Teams earn 50 Bonus points in their yearly standing by attending the fun and exciting meetings.

Entry fees for the Legacy events are $75 per tournament making them affordable for the budget minded family. To participate a team must consist of one angler who has reached his/her 19th birthday before Sept 10th 2007 and one angler who has not reached his/her birthday before Sept 10th 2007. Membership for Legacy participants is $25 per team which covers the adult and any junior member. For members who join and participate in our team series, this membership is included in the team membership. Legacy members will receive a pair of Fishers of Men legacy patches and FOM Legacy Decals and have the eligibility to participate in any Legacy event anywhere in the country. To register complete the Legacy member application and mail it to the Director of the Division you plan to participate in.
