Anybody have results...?
I Don't know any results but I have talked to a few or more that fished the tournament. There seemed to be a big issue with a couple of guys that fished the tournament and the tournament before. One went out at 6:30 and this one went out at 7:00. From what I heard the payed for both tounaments and waited for 7:00 to start and fished both of them at the same time. Well just so happens that they had 5 fish and won the first one and then used the same fish and weighed in the second one and won it too. Well I was not there and this is just what I heard so this could be false but I heard this from more then one person. There was some pissed off people I am hear to tell you. If this is true how do you feel about it. I would think you can only fish one at a time. Put all your fish in one basket I guess that is what I mean.
First let me say I have never been to Taylorsville but I want to touch on the subject of weighing in fish at two seperate tournaments. I have seen it happen more than once on a different lake. If there was no rule saying that once fish are turned over to the weigh master they become the property of the weigh master there is nothing wrong with what they did. Some clubs and organizations have such a rule in place to elimainate this from happening. So long as they followed the rules of both tournaments no harm done and my hats off to them for winning both tournaments. I remember a couple of years ago I had a friend to get 3rd in one tournament and 1st in another both went out of the same ramp at the same time but one ended 30 minutes earlier so they had to stop at the end time for the shortest tournament. If my memory is correct they have done it more than once over the years.
If your going to do this I suggest you ask both tournament directors if it is aginst there rules and request a represenative from both events to accompany you to the scales to insure you keep the same fish for both weighins. Another suggestion would be tell both tournament directors that you want to be the last boat in the starting line if they have the same take off time. That way nobody will be able to complain if you were boat 4 in tournament one and boat 36 in tournament two but you went out with the starting line up in tournament 1.

i have done this and if they aren't the same times you go out with the latest and come in for the earliest,i usually lose an hour,i have won money from both tourneys at once and never heard any complaints.i have no problem with it as long as rules are followed.i have even seen 2 small tournaments merge on the ramp and combine money??can't make everyone happy but i feel i can win any one i enter as well as the next guy..
I hear ya, sounds like a great idea to me...Besides it's not the fishermen you have to beat...You got to catch the little fishy's down in the water to even win the tournament.......
All cool with me. I just wanted to here it from others. I know some that don't feel that way but to each his own I guess
