One day, Rick and Tubby decided to get together and play a round of 18 holes. Later in the round, the two finally reach the 14th hole.
Tubby taps in his putt and suddenly, without hesitation, grabs his ball, bag, and begins to walk back to the clubhouse.

Pitino stands at the 15th hole, puzzled and wondering why Tubby just quit playing and left? Curiously, Pitino yells to Tubby, "Where are you going? We aren't finished playing yet?!?"

To which Tubby replies, "Rick, you know I don't do the final four."




And that's the truth!!!!!!!!

One good thing about Tubby is that he at least told Rick that he was not playing the final four holes, if it was Pitino he would have told Tubby that he was certainly playing the last 4 holes then skip town, just like he told Michael Bradley and his racist father that he would be at UK until he graduated one day, Michael signs his letter of intent, and then miraculously Pitino negotiated a 10 year contract plus part ownership in the Celtics within 24 hours and accepted their head coaching and GM position and blew town. You can always tell a man of character versus one that has none, whether he can coach or not, thats right Tubby and Benedict Pitino have the same number of NCAA titles to their credit, Tubby did it with (Pitino's) nobody's and never will be's but it took a team that I could have coached to the title,Delk, Mercer, McCarty, Pope, Mohammed, Magloire, Walker, Shepard, Anderson, Epps, and whomever else for Pitino's title. The 96 team would be favored by 20 against the 98 team with all that talent.
