Another fish kill is taking place in the Shenandoah River system. The lastest article I found is at: &title=&author=&channelid=

Fish found in parts of Augusta, Rockingham, and Shenandoah counties are exhibiting signs of recent fish kills including high levels of mucus, lesions and sores, and abnormal swimming behavior. The article suggests that the fish kill numbers are lower than in the past, simply because so many fish have died in the past two years that the number remaining is only 20% of that when the river was heathy.

Most disturbing, the article goes on the suggest that biologists are finding no, none, -0-, redbreast sunfish in some areas. How disturbing is that? I've had days of 100+, some close to 1 pound and biting all day and night on this river.

This has gone on long enough. This is three years in a row now. Don't tell me that we can keep probes running for years on mars, or land space vehicles on comets, and we can't find and fix the cause for this. It is absurd and an insult to our intelligence.
