Hey Dover: Just wondering If you were still among the living??? Haven't talked to you in over 3 weeks. I have been expecting a report from the hill from you for at least a couple of weeks. Plan on going down there this coming saturday morning and thrashing the water alittle myself. Just wondering what was going on...I heard from someone, can't remember who or where at now that the lake was turning over around Johnsons chapel??? I can varify that over a month ago when I fished out of Ckvl. boat dock one thursday when I took off from work...but again???
283 --- went to CH on Monday...... the water is like chocolate milk all the way from hurricane to indian creek....after indian, it pretty much cleared up all the way to the dam..... don't know about it turning over, I thought it turned like that from all the rain we had on Saturday..... water is about 8ft low from the normal summer pool...heard the Corps was gonna' keep it that way to take a little pressure off the dam (go figure) ... I posted to jollyroger about DH, went there on Saturday, 5 May and probably should have gone back after fishing Monday, 7 May at CH...H2O at CH was about 73 degrees by 1pm and caught 2 small dinks....... threw everything but the kitchen sink...PS --this past weekend was my first outing in over 3-weeks... helped the van Alten family from Monterey with the funeral of their son SGT Alex van Alten who was killed in action on 20 April in Afghanistan.... Alex was escorted back and finally made it home on 27 April, funeral was 29 April...... he died a hero ...... this was his 2d deployment in combat as he was in Iraq last year and assigned to the 82d Airborne Division outta' FT Bragg, NC.... sorry for the long post but felt it necessary to let all who read this website that we are able to fish as we may because of folks like Alex van Alten who are making the ultimate sacrifice for us all....... tight lines 283 and perhaps we can wet a line together soon .....
