    Boycott fuel prices

apr.1997 there was a "gas out" conducted nationwide in protest of gas prices, fuel prices dropped 30 cent a gallon overnight. on may 15th 2007, all internet users are asked not to buy gas in protest of high prices, there are 73 + million american currently on the internet, with the average vehicle 30-50 dollars per fill up. if all internet users did not go to the pumps, that would roughly take almost 3 billion dollars out of the oil companies pockets, so let put a dent in the middle east oil industry for at least 1 day. please forward.

This one seems to make its way around the internet every so often, usually around the time that gas prices go up. Problem is that folks will buy all their gas the day before and the day after, so no real difference. You would likly have to not buy gas for a month to make any difference that the oil companies would notice.

The real way to boycott would be to not use gas for a day, that way the gas companies actually lose that money as opposed to the gas just being bought on a different day.

These kind of things always make me frustrated. If you want to really make a difference quit using as much gas on a regular basis. Ride a bike if you live in town. Go to the grocery store only once a week. You will know that the cost of gas is really high when people actually change thier habits to use less. Supply and demand people, it's not just a coincidence that gas prices go up in the summer!

On another interesting note, do you know what country is the largest importer of oil to the U.S.?.....................Canada!

I thought it was funny.... Everyone who boycotted gas the 15th got burned. They raised the price of gas $.20 Tuesday night. They had to buy gas at an even higher price because they waited....

    BWHAHAHAHAHAHA....

Thanks for the statement on suply and demand. It saved me alot of typing and frustration....
