Green River Bass Club
Congradulations John to you and your dad on the win. Both of you put in alot of time keeping the club running like a clock. For people that may not be familiar with Green River Bass Club it has been around for several years but since John and Jim took over they have really exploded in size. Yes the former directors were great guys but John and Jim have promoted and advertised the club and took it from a 15 boat club to a 40 boat club. The open tournament they had over the weekend drew 63 boats...you are doing something correct. You know as I have told you in the past due to my work schedule it makes it hard for me to commit to a partner knowing that I will have to work 50% of the weekends. You never know mabey I will join back into the club. I would have fished the open this weekend but my pre fishing results said save your money LOL. Catching fish was not the problem it was the fact that thier eyes were too close to thier tail LOL.
Thanks for posting the stats on the tournament. One thing that really stands out is the fact that 29 out of 63 boats had a limit. Most were a typical Green River Lake 12"-14" limits. I have never seen so many people with 7-8 pounds. I over heard 3 different boats say that they did not bring thier fish to the scales. One of them had 2 one 3 one 4 so the overall numbers and combined total weight would have been higher. I am sure there were many more boats that had fish but I only know of 3 boats that did not bring thier catch to the scales.
