I should have! Best Smallie I have caught so far. I let my brother talk me into looking at getting it mounted. My uncle is doing the mount. In hind site I would have. This is the first one I have EVER kept and most likely the last.....unless of course it is the next World Record . Take care.

Trying to figure out why you haven't asked anyone else about the same question when they are holding crappie, stripers or musky???

I would have kept that brownie also. They fry up just fine.

Too each his own, I only try to promote catch and release of these great fish whenever I can. I think of keeping and cutting beautiful keeper size smalljaws and my skin just begins to crawl. I'ts like burning an American flag to me, sorry.
