    Pickwick Fishing Information

    I will be leaving for a week down near pickwick lake. Never been there and am looking for some smallmouth info. I will be puting in near the Dam. I will be fishing at night. Any information would be great. Not fishing a tournament just going fishing with my nephew. Thanks

    Which dam North or South? I have fish the Florence end several times in the last couple years.

    I have not fished it at night. if you fish the Twins, Pickwick is closer to Barkley EXCEPT the shallows are ROCK. On that end of the lake fish the drops/ledges of which there are plenty and hopefully they will pull water, they usually start pulling about 10-11am. The mouths of the bays and creeks can be good early also. DO NOT run outside the Buoys. Good Luck

    Thanks for all of the infomation. I think I'll go mid-day as they are going to be pulling water with 4 generators going. Sounds like Percy Priest lots of rock and is not forgiving.

    Well, got back from Pickwick and caught some nice small mouth and large mouth. Thank you he fish were in top of the humps in the morning. Caught them with rattle traps, then latter in the day they were right on the drop..Thanks again for the infomation..
