Santa Protector Inc. Open Tournament Rules
1. Participants and Eligibility: The tournament is open to everyone wishing to fish. This is a team event; however it does not make any difference of age or gender. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
2. General: There shall be no alcoholic beverages or illegal substances before or during tournament hours or during weigh-in. All competitors are expected to show courtesy to other competitors and non-competitors alike.
3. Safety: Safe boating conduct must be observed at all times. Each competitor is required to wear a coast guard approved life preserver whenever the combustible motor is running. Anyone receiving any ticketed violations from IDNR may be disqualified.
4. Tackle: No live bait allowed. Both pork and dry rind baits are ok for tournament use. All bass must be caught on rod and reel, no trolling allowed. Both members of your team must be present in the boat when all fish are caught.
5. Fishing Locations: There are no pre-tournament off limits. During tournament hours there will be off limits near weigh-in area announced at pre-tournament meeting.
6. Boating Equipment: All boats must be equipped with aerated live wells, kill switches are required as well on all combustible motors and must be worn. Both may be check on site at boat check pre-tournament.
7. Pretournament Meeting: There will be a pretournament meeting at Cutright Ramp the morning of the tournament,,,,,,time to be announced.
8. Boat Positions: Boat positions will be determined by the date they are received. Late registration will be available the morning of the tournament with a $15.00 charge.
9. Tournament Hours: 0600 until 1400hrs
10. Scoring: Only large mouth and small mouth bass will be weighed at scales. Five fish limit for team. Measuring will be done with mouth closed, and the tail must touch 14” mark by moving tail only. For any short fish brought to scales, short fish will not count and one additional pound will be deducted from total team weight. For any dead fish brought to scales your team will have 8 ounces deducted from total team weight.
11. Late to Scales: For teams showing up late to official check in point a penalty at the rate of one pound per minute will apply.
12. Rules: Interpretations to any rule will be left to the tournament directors. Any complaint shall be turned in within 10 minutes of tournament end time to registration desk in writing.
13. Expectations: All participants are expected to obey all Indiana Boating , Fishing, or any other applicable Rules or Statutes. No exceptions and violation may result in disqualification from tournament.

3rd place =$1000 9th place =$250
4th place =$500 10th place =$200
5th place =$450 11th place =$150
6th place =$400 12th place =$125
1 place paid for each 10 boats. Big bass pays $650, $5 dollars of entry fee goes in big bass pot.
