Fished the Licking River in Campbell Co. There was a little bit of current but not much. Rode for 23 minutes to the first riffle, had to get out and drag the boat through and then fished the next riffle. Caught 4 smallmouth, 2 keepers, one spot 10" and caught 3 sauger, 2 were around 14" the other a cigar. Fishing was slow. I caught my smallmouth on a 2.5" yum craw on a 1/8 oz jighead and on a rebel craw crankbait. The sauger were caught on shakeyhead watermelon worm and rebel wee r chrome/black crankbait. River is about 2' low and loaded with small shad everywhere. Fishing was slow.
Water temps were 82, slightly stained. This week I can see the water temps going up another 5 degrees or so, with the higher temps this week.
